Burlington’s Cocktail Competition

As part of this year’s Vermont Travel Industry Conference, Hotel Vermont and the fledgling Vermont Bartenders’ Guild will be hosting a competition to crown Vermont‘s 2015 Bartender of the Year at the Juniper Bar & Restaurant at Hotel VT.

The event will take place on March 30th at 6pm and serve as a mixer for conference participants and industry professionals. To introduce Vermont distillations to the crowd, as well as give the bartenders the finest to work with, competing bartenders will create drinks from a Vermont made spirit, including Dunc’s Mill Maple, Elderflower, and Backwoods Reserve Rum. Drinks will be judged based on a number of factors, including how well the drink portrays and compliments the original spirit.

Those attending the event will have the opportunity to sample all of these drinks next to a write-up explaining the spirit being used in the cocktail.
